13 American Cities Have Unemployment Over 15%

According to a new government report, 13 American cities had unemployment rates over 15% in April, and another 93 American cities had unemployment rates above 10%. A lot of people are really hurting out there.

 

According to an internal Treasury Department document, last October Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson ordered nine banks that the Treasury Department described as “healthy” to surrender ownership interests to the U.S. government or else face regulatory action that would force them to surrender ownership interests to the government.  Does anyone else get the feeling that we are not being told the whole story here?
