MIT Climate Scientist: Global Warming Believers Are A Cult

An MIT professor of meteorology is dismissing global-warming alarmists as a discredited “cult” whose members are becoming more hysterical as emerging evidence continues to contradict their beliefs.

During an appearance on this writer’s radio show Monday, MIT Professor emeritus Richard Lindzen discussed the religious nature of the movement.

“As with any cult, once the mythology of the cult begins falling apart, instead of saying, oh, we were wrong, they get more and more fanatical. I think that’s what’s happening here. Think about it,” he said. “You’ve led an unpleasant life, you haven’t led a very virtuous life, but now you’re told, you get absolution if you watch your carbon footprint. It’s salvation!”

  1. The problem is big money is betting on the EPA. Is it a scam? Really don’t know. But we now have over 10 semitruck loads of regulation within the agency. Not sure anyone could even understand this garbage that Congress and Bureaucrats have put together.
But following the money? That is a different tale.
Like the land grab described earlier that is pushing the price of beef out of sight. The EPA of course is only protecting a tortoise.
I think the entire agency needs to be declared unconstitutional, every law that concerns EPA should be tossed.
But that means any law so complicated that no one can understand it without years of study should be tossed right along with it.
If we do that we would end up with laws everyone might even understand.
It would provide work for a generation of lawyers and accountants.

Quit making laws that are for our own good. Most have a distinct smell of the devil in them.
