Oregon Man Sentenced To 30 Days For Catching Rain Water On Own Property Enters Jail

Gary Harrington, the Oregon man convicted of collecting rainwater and snow runoff on his rural property surrendered Wednesday morning to begin serving his 30-day, jail sentence in Medford, Ore.

“I’m sacrificing my liberty so we can stand up as a country and stand for our liberty,” Harrington told a small crowd of people gathered outside of the Jackson County (Ore.) Jail.

Several people held signs that showed support for Harrington as he was taken inside the jail.

    • It is very true Meranda. And arresting people for collecting rain on their own property is one of my big pet peeves.

      • Not even on the new age radar screen! Millions care more about the release of new photos of Kim’s BFA. After all, doesn’t rain belong to the State once it becomes storm run-off? Surely, if billions of pseudo-technocrats can support AGW as settled science, then H2O regulation is sure to follow. It’s not the one thing, it’s the dismal tide !
