Donald Trump has insisted that he values and respects woman, saying: I’m going to do things for women that no other candidate is going to do.’
The presidential hopeful made his comments during the first of four Sunday talkshows he is appearing on to try and repair the damage done by his attack on Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly.
He told CNN: ‘When you’re negative on women’s health, you can forget about it. I’m the exact opposite. I cherish women. I want to help women. I’m going to be able to do things for women that no other candidate would be able to do, and it’s very important to me.’
Trump had been criticized for comments made on the same network on Friday, when he slammed Kelly for grilling him on his attitude to women during Thursday’s debate of GOP candidates. He said ‘blood was coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her — wherever’ during the debate.
