(By Chelle Wagner) For the last several years I have heard three words in my spirit always together and always in this order:
Suddenly, Famine, Darkness. It is my belief that those words applied to the time frame we are living in now. I have had several confirmations that this is true. Here are just a few examples:
Joanie Stahl just released a video that is absolutely confirmation on the word Suddenly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvkatmpblE0&t=19s
Katie Brainard just released a video that references the famine

I am also seeing reports from everywhere now on the probability of a coming global famine. Stan Johnson of the Prophecy Club just released this video update this week about the meat supply shortage.

What I want to discuss is DARKNESS. Darkness can be a spiritual darkness, a physical darkness, a darkness so deep in can be felt as in the plaques of Egypt. During that plague the darkness was so thick you couldn’t see your hand in front of you and it lasted three days. This affected everyone in Egypt.
Stop for a moment and imagine right now our world suddenly going dark. No lights, no phones, no buzz of electronics, sounds of tv, radio, or internet. Just darkness. We have no idea why it happened, or how long it might last. What are your coping skills to deal with this? Is your faith strong enough to comfort you? Or will your mind become your worst enemy?
I once lived in much spiritual darkness; gross, deep, dark, murky waters, slimy sludge filled with SHAME, REGRET attempts to FORGET… and REPEAT. This was my daily existence until Yahuah Tzavaot Lord of the Host of Heavens Armies, met me in the midst of my daily existence and untangled my feet from the fowlers net, for I was trapped and had no idea how to get out. I had just enough information to know I needed to pray and ask God to help me. The prayer was sincere, and He answered. It truly always amazes me how simple our part is as humans, enough humility to ask for help was all I really needed to begin the most amazing relationship with the God of the Universe.
Darkness is where Fear does its best work. Fear loves to terrorize. To be in a dark place is to have no knowledge, no awareness, no ability to behold, no ability to consider, without perception, without vision, without certainty, without understanding.
Dr. Stephen Pidgeon of Cepher Publishing Group just released this blog post basically explaining Hell or Hades is darkness. https://www.cepher.net/blog.aspx?post=6240&title=Hell-and-Hades
ARISE, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of YAHUAH is risen upon you. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but YAHUAH shall arise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you. And the other nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Lift up your eyes round about, and see: all they gather them selves together, they come to you: your sons shall come from far, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
Then you shall see, and flow together, and your heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned back unto you, the forces of the other nations shall come unto you.
Isaiah 60:1-5
These verses can be hard to understand because as the “church” we have not been taught who we really are from an everlasting perspective. We are in a time period of “gathering” which is in total opposition to the current world message which is “social distance”. The Everlasting God Yahuah is getting ready to bring His people up out of the nations in an Exodus that is going to be so astounding that no one will even remember or talk about the Exodus we are commanded to celebrate at Passover. I have so many things I would love to share about this but, the subject is so all encompassing that for now I can just mention the concept. If there is an interest I will write some indepth articles on the subject.
Darkness that covers the earth is the Hebrew word choshek ]cj it is misery, destruction, death, sorrow, wickedness.
Deep darkness which covers the people is araphel lpru it is described in strong’s as gloom, as in the lowering of the sky, thick darkness from a root word that means to droop, to drip or drop down.
As with all root words in Hebrew the root word for darkness is chiastic. That just means it basically has a positive and a negative connotation. In multiple scriptures we find God hiding in the midst of deep darkness.
He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet. And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies. Psalm 18:9-11
The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. Psalm 97:1-2
When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid; The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me; In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears. Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth. There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet. And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind. And he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies. Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.
2 Samuel 22:5-13
I love that the above verse tells the isles will be glad at the time that He hides himself in darkness because this is another reference to the fact that His inheritance, His people are scattered into the islands of the world at the time before His regathering of His people.
One of the most wonderful promises in His word is that even in darkness He hears us. Hagar was an Egyptian servant to Sarai Abrahams wife. Sarai had not been able to give her husband a child, so she gave him Hagar to have a child with. When Hagar conceived, she had a haughty attitude towards Sarai which almost cost her life. Sarai dealt so harshly with her that she fled into the wilderness crying. Yahuah introduced himself to her that day and let her know that He saw her situation of slavery and pain clearly. Even though her attitude had not been great her situation was not to great either. God saw it and understood and let her know that He saw and gave her directions on what to do next, along with promises of hope for her child and her future.
And she called the name of YAHUAH that spoke unto her, you EL see me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that sees me? Genesis 16:13
I had quite a bit of trauma in my life as a very young child. My earliest memories are full of paralyzing terror that showed up every night. I would lie awake for hours terrified to go ask for comfort because I would get in so much trouble and terrorized of what was under my bed, what was stalking me that I couldn’t see. During the darkness is where the monsters in my head decided to play. I have a Mary Magdalene type of redemption story.
Mary was a devoted follower of Jesus. In Mary’s story we aren’t told much except that Yahusha cast seven demons out of her. So, we can surmise she had lived through hell on earth, full of terror, regret, and shame.
Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not. Mark 16:9-11
Mary’s last name is not Magdalene it is a reference to the place she was from. According to the Thayers Greek English Lexicon 3093, Magdala is a place on the western shore of the Lake of Galilee, about three miles from distant Tiberias towards the North; and is the same as the word Hebrew word migadl-el found in Joshua 19:38. It means tower of God, a fortified city of Naphtali.
This word in strong’s concordance is number 4026 and references a tower specifically Genesis 11:4-5
And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.
So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. Genesis 11:4-9
There is a really important concept in scripture that says if you want to understand what happens at the end you must be able to perceive and understand what happened at the beginning. When you begin to grasp this it becomes apparent that there is more prophecy in Genesis than in the entire rest of the scriptures.
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done…Isaiah 46:9-10
In Genesis 11 the global elite powers of the world were building a tower in the city of Babylon that they had convinced themselves would be out of the reach of Almighty God. They were afraid He would scatter them into the nations and they wouldn’t be able to understand and communicate with each other in order to accomplish their purposes on the earth.
At this time on the earth most of us are aware that some very nefarious actions are being taken to enslave humanity and persecute the people of God. I have said all the above to encourage you to not fear if YAHUAH decides darkness is how to best deal with the enemy. Trust HIM even in the darkness.
