I have to admit that Lamar Jackson is my favorite player in the entire NFL right now.  He has brought a tremendous amount of joy and creativity to a league that is in desperate need of both, and it is likely that he will be voted league MVP this season.

When a reporter recently asked him how he can stay humble despite such success, his answer floored everyone

“The Lord. I give him all his praise the glory and the honor. I could’ve been doing anything, you know. It’s crazy. I’m talking to him throughout the day, ‘I appreciate you’ ‘I thank you’. Because when you feel you’re bigger than the Lord that’s when all that success dies. It goes away.”
