For years, I never told anyone about my dreams. I think that our society wants us to believe that those that have dreams and visions are a bit nuts, and that discourages a lot of people from sharing them, because we all want to be taken seriously.
But the Scriptures specifically tells us that in the last days there will be an outbreak of prophetic dreams and visions as the Lord pours out His Spirit on all flesh. This is what we are told in Joel chapter 2…
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.
The Lord has been impressing upon me that I need to be sharing the things that He gives me, and so with that in mind I will share with you a very alarming dream that I had this morning.
I was high up on a hillside, although it was so high that I would be tempted to call it a mountainside. The terrain was very hilly and rocky, and I was with other people inside some sort of structure where we could watch what was happening in the city below.
As I watched, an absolutely enormous earthquake ripped through the houses and buildings in the city. In my dream, I was very emotionally affected by what I was witnessing. I understood that there were people down there that I knew personally. The quake plowed through structures without any resistance at all, and the devastation was immense.
In the dream, I was not given any indication of the location of the earthquake, nor was I given the identities of any of the people that got caught in it. I just knew that there were people that I cared about right in the middle of it.
I have never seen any footage of a quake as powerful as the one that I saw in my dream. Perhaps some Hollywood disaster movies come close to what I saw, but none of those movies ever affected me emotionally like this dream did.
We definitely live at a time when our planet is becoming increasingly unstable, and other men and women of God have been shown that great seismic disasters are coming to the United States someday.
But I do not know if what I was shown was for the United States. The fact that people I knew were caught in it would seem to indicate that it might be in the U.S., but of course Meranda and I know people all over the globe.
In any event, I felt that I needed to share this dream with all of you, and I will continue to share the things that I am shown as the Lord leads.
