MAGA Hats Are Becoming A Hot Fashion Trend Among Teens All Over America

More than anything else, wearing a MAGA hat is a way to publicly identify yourself as a Trump supporter. Of course other politicians have used apparel to promote themselves in the past, but when Donald Trump introduced the red MAGA cap early on in his presidential run, it changed everything. Today, the red MAGA hat has become an iconic symbol that is instantly recognizable everywhere in the entire country, but it is also a lightning rod that can provoke a violent backlash from those on the left. And for millions of teens that wish to rebel against the dominant politically-correct culture of the day, such a symbol can be irresistible, and perhaps that is why so many of them are now wearing MAGA hats. The following originally comes from a Vox article entitled “It isn’t just the Covington Catholic students — MAGA hats are a teen trend”

MAGA hats, however, hold special significance for some middle and high school students. Travel to any tourist destination in DC and you’ll see swaths of school groups, many of them wearing hats purchased at nearby souvenir shops.

Of course Vox is definitely not applauding these teens for wearing these hats. In fact, the article goes on to state that MAGA hats are “a familiar marker of exclusionary preteen politics”

But for those for whom the phrase “Make America Great Again” refers to only a small slice of who or what “America” is, it isn’t just a hat. One Muslim American mother whose son went on a middle school trip to DC in which “every single white kid besides maybe one or two” returned wearing a MAGA hat said that the red caps became a familiar marker of exclusionary preteen politics.

The author of that article would have never made the same sort of accusation about groups of teens that were wearing Obama caps, because that would not be a politically-correct thing to do.

But somewhere along the line it became acceptable to label Donald Trump, all Republicans and anyone that supports them as “racists”, and all of this constant fueling of anger and hatred is going to have very serious implications for our nation down the road.

If you doubt this, just look at what just happened to “the Covington kids”. Photos and video clips that were completely taken out of context resulted in calls for violence against them from liberals all across the country

Tucker Carlson excoriated famous liberals and a few anti-Trump GOP who called for the harassment, assault and murder of a group of Kentucky high school students who were falsely accused of bigotry against a Native American man, Nathan Phillips, at a pro-life demonstration on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

Based on an out-of-context “staredown” between student Nick Sandmann and Phillips, high-profile liberals across Twitter went on a blitzkrieg of fake news over the weekend – falsely claiming that the Covington High School group harassed Phillips while chanting “build the wall” – which never happened.

And many public figures jumped at the chance to condemn these kids

Covington Mayor Joe Meyer called the students “appalling.” Presidential candidate and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., praised the Native American for his “dignity and strength” in the face of the teenagers’ “hateful taunts.” CNN’s Reza Aslan asked if anyone had “ever seen a more punchable face than this kid’s.” The ostensibly conservative National Review declared, “The Covington students might as well have spit on the Cross.”

Of course as more video evidence emerged, it quickly became clear that it was actually a group of radical leftist protesters that were attempting to intimidate those kids. As one group of protesters shouted insults at the kids that I can’t even print in this space, Nathan Phillips approached Nick Sandmann and started beating a drum just inches from his face.

Who does such a thing to a young kid?

And then somehow the media got everyone to believe that young Nick Sandmann was the aggressor, which was not true at all. But what most people will ultimately remember about this story is the narrative that Sandmann was “attempting to intimidate” a member of the Native American community while wearing a large red MAGA hat on his head.

The fury that has been directed at Sandmann has been off the charts. For example, Hollywood producer Jack Morrissey suggested that Sandmann should be fed into a woodchipper

“#MAGAkids go screaming, hats first, into the woodchipper,” Morrissey tweeted with a photo of a woodchipper.

For now, Sandmann still apparently has his Twitter account.

As does Kathy Griffin, who said things about Sandmann on Twitter that I cannot even repeat.

And what was Sandmann’s crime?

Simply smiling in the face of insults and persecution while wearing a MAGA hat.

The White House reached out to the Covington kids to show their support, and there are rumors that they may eventually visit the White House

President Donald Trump’s administration “reached out” to offer support for the Covington Catholic High School students involved in a confrontation at the Lincoln Memorial over the weekend, but officials pushed back on a report that the students would visit the White House this week.

“We’ve reached out and voiced our support,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement Tuesday. “If the president does have them here, it will be sometime after the shutdown, if that happens.”

Hopefully that visit will take place, because after everything that they have been through those kids certainly deserve it.

As for Trump, things are about to get a lot more uncomfortable for him in Washington. On Tuesday, we learned that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is joining the House Oversight Committee

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is among a group of progressive lawmakers joining the House Oversight Committee, Politico reported Tuesday.

In addition to Ocasio-Cortez, fellow freshmen Reps. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) are also set to join the committee, as is Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), according to Politico.

If alarm bells are going off in your head, there is a good reason for that, because that is the committee that “is expected to open investigations into Trump and his administration during the new Congress”

The Oversight Committee is the main investigative committee in the House and is expected to open investigations into Trump and his administration during the new Congress.

Ocasio-Cortez is also set to join the House Financial Services Committee, which oversees banks and the financial sector.

We knew that this would happen if the American people gave control of the House to the Democrats. During the 2018 election, we needed to send Donald Trump some reinforcements, and we didn’t get that done.

But now the 2020 election is coming up, and it will probably be the most pivotal election in any of our lifetimes up to this point. It will be another opportunity to fundamentally change the direction of our government, and this time we need to make it happen.

The Big List: 24 Awesome Pro-Trump Candidates That Are Running For Seats In The House Or The Senate In 2018

Do you want to be part of a movement to get pro-Trump candidates elected to Congress? Six months ago, I publicly called for “an army of pro-Trump activists” all over the nation to run for seats in the House or the Senate, and it is actually happening. In this article I am going to share with you 24 of the very best pro-Trump candidates that are running for office in 2018, and we hope to continue to grow this list over time. In fact, we have given this list a permanent home on Facebook on a page entitled “Pro-Trump Candidates For Congress”.

For a long time I have been saying that the 2018 mid-term elections will be the most important mid-term elections in modern American history. If we fail to get many pro-Trump candidates elected, President Trump will not be able to do much leading into the presidential election of 2020, but if we are able to get dozens elected, we will have a golden opportunity to implement the Make America Great Again agenda and fundamentally transform how Washington D.C. works.

The 24 candidates listed below need volunteers, financial support and media exposure. Many of them will be challenging very powerful incumbents from the establishment wing of the Republican Party, but as we saw in the case of Roy Moore, we can win if we all work together. Check “Pro-Trump Candidates For Congress” often, because this list will continue to grow…

I did not include potential candidates such as Pastor Darrell Scott and Joy Villa on the list, but once they formally announce their bids I will be thrilled to add them.

If you know of other pro-Trump candidates that would make good additions to this list, please visit the contact page on my official campaign website and let me know. My campaign team is incredibly excited about pro-Trump candidates all around the nation working together, because our best chance at victory is if we all support one another.

Here in Idaho, our campaign has a ton of momentum, and other pro-Trump candidates are also seeing really positive poll numbers right now. But in order for the pro-Trump movement to be truly successful in 2018, we are going to need thousands of volunteers, donors and social media warriors to get involved all over the country.

Also, we still need more candidates to run.

If you stand with President Trump and you believe in the Make America Great Again agenda, don’t be afraid to go for it. So many races still do not have a pro-Trump alternative, and time is quickly running out.

We are on a mission to take our government back, and we are asking you to join us. Working individually we could never make this happen, but if we choose to work together we can do truly extraordinary things.

Pro-Trump Forces Are Taking Over The Republican Party, And There Is No Going Back

A civil war for control of the future of the Republican Party is raging, and pro-Trump forces are winning. In recent weeks, we have seen Senator Jeff Flake and Senator Bob Corker both announce that they will not seek re-election when their terms are over. Meanwhile, a new generation of enthusiastic pro-Trump candidates has been rising all over the nation. Back in May, I used my national platform to publicly call for “an army of pro-Trump activists” to run for office all across America, and now it is actually happening. Of course the traditional Republican establishment still believes that they are going to someday regain control of the party, but the truth is that there is no going back at this point. This is a point that Pat Buchanan made beautifully in his recent article about the GOP civil war…

Flake calls Trump “dangerous to our democracy.” But the real threat Trump represents is to the GOP establishment’s control of the party’s agenda and the party’s destiny.

U.S. politics have indeed been coarsened, with Trump playing a lead role. Yet, beneath the savagery of the uncivil war in the party lies more than personal insults and personality clashes.

This is a struggle about policy, about the future. And Trump is president because he read the party and the country right, while the Bush-McCain Republican establishment had lost touch with both.

What we are witnessing is something truly remarkable. The Republican Party is being fundamentally transformed on a national level.

For decades, grassroots activists were deeply frustrated that the Republican establishment always ignored them on issues such as trade, immigration and the dangers of globalism, and now we are seeing a stunning changing of the guard.

Major establishment figures such as Corker and Flake are willingly leaving Washington, and a new crop of candidates that fully believe in Trump’s agenda is rising to take their place.

One potential candidate that I am very excited about in Ohio is Pastor Darrell Scott. He has been asked to run against anti-Trump incumbent Dave Joyce in the upcoming primary

Scott was recently approached by Ashtabula County (Ohio) Republican Party members, who asked for him to run against incumbent Rep. Dave Joyce in the 2018 Republican primary for Congress. The incumbent, Scott says, has both publicly and privately bashed President Donald Trump in a district where multiple homes still proudly display their Trump election signs.

Pastor Scott has not made a final decision yet, but some very prominent names have already lined up behind him

His first step was to pray and seek wise counsel. Among his counselors are a veritable Who’s Who of President Trump’s administration: Michael Cohen, Steve Bannon, Anthony Scaramucci, Omarosa Manigault-Newman and Jared Kushner. All of them loved the idea, and a handful even offered to host prestigious fundraisers if Scott decides to move forward.

By the way, we are trying to get in touch with Steve Bannon as well, and so if anyone can get us in contact with him please reach out to us at our campaign website.

Another pro-Trump candidate that would have never run in previous eras is Joy Villa. According to Fox News, she is considering running for Congress in either “Florida, California or New York”…

Villa, who famously wore a Trump-themed dress to the 2017 Grammy Awards, announced on “Fox and Friends” Friday morning that she’s considering a run for Congress.

“If I run, I’m going to win,” she said, adding that she’s looking at Florida, California or New York because “those are places I live and work and have grown up in.”

Villa, 26, said she would focus on tax reform, legal immigration and helping American families — much like the president’s current platform.

Right now, Donald Trump doesn’t have too many friends in Congress, but it looks like that may be about to change. In fact, if I win my race I intend to be Trump’s “best friend in Congress” since nobody else seems to want that title so far. Of course if other pro-Trump candidates win their races too, I might actually have some competition for that title, and that would be a wonderful thing.

Sadly, many of the old establishment Republicans are still convinced that things can go back to the way they used to be. They believe that once they get rid of Trump that we will openly embrace them like we did in the old days. Here is more from Pat Buchanan

Can the GOP establishment believe that if Trump falls, or they bring him down, they will inherit the estate and be welcomed home like the Prodigal Son? Do they believe their old agenda of open borders, amnesty, free trade globalism and democracy-crusading can become America’s agenda again?

Trumpism is not a detour, after which we can all get back on the interstate to the New World Order.

The Republican establishment still does not understand the power of our movement. For decades the elite have been accustomed to pulling the strings in both major parties, but now that era is ending.

Of course we still need more pro-Trump candidates to run all over the nation. The primaries are only a little more than six months away, and so if you are thinking of jumping in to a race you need to do so as soon as possible.

And if you aren’t running, please support those who are. We need to greatly encourage Pastor Scott, Joy Villa, Omar Navarro, Paul Nehlen, Carla Spalding, Kevin Cavanaugh, Dr. Kelli Ward and all of the others that have either stepped forward or that are considering stepping forward.

Running for office is not easy, and this is something that I have discovered on my own journey. Fortunately, we are doing extremely well so far, but we still have a ton of work ahead of us.

Together, we can take our country back. Getting Donald Trump into the White House was the first miracle, and now we are going to see another miracle in 2018. Individually we would never be able to accomplish much, but if we unite under the Trump banner amazing things are possible.

Do You Believe In Miracles?

president-trump-public-domain

We have never seen anything like this in the history of American politics. Donald Trump’s shocking victory on election night is nothing short of a modern day miracle. Several weeks ago I told my readers that it would take the biggest political miracle ever in order for Trump to win, and I had been strongly urging them to vote, but even early on election night I was skeptical that Trump could actually pull it off. Initially the results coming out of Florida, North Carolina and Ohio looked rather ominous, and a lot of Trump supporters were freaking out. But those initial numbers strongly reflected early voting results, and those results typically favor Democrats. Once the Election Day numbers started rolling in, it was clear that there was a massive unanticipated wave of momentum for Trump.

Once I saw that Virginia was going to be much more tightly contested than anticipated and that Trump had jumped out to a lead in Michigan, I realized that Trump had a really good shot at winning the whole thing. Over Skype I told a stunned audience that the numbers were looking really good for Trump, but it was still so early in the evening that I don’t know if a lot of people believed me. And I certainly didn’t blame them, because I could hardly believe it myself.

Once Trump took the lead for good in Pennsylvania, I knew that it was all over. My wife and I looked at each other in disbelief, and we are still trying to come to grips with a future that we didn’t think was possible.

Watching Donald Trump speak to the American people after he had been declared the winner was a surreal experience. At this moment, it still doesn’t seem real to me that he could become the next president of the United States a little more than two months from now. But at this point it looks like that is precisely what is going to happen.

After it was all over, I kind of stumbled around my home lost in my thoughts. I was happy, confused, hopeful, stunned and pensive all at the same time. Like so many others, what I thought I knew about politics turned out to be wrong. But in other ways, the election of Donald Trump has confirmed so much of what I know to be right about America.

Ultimately, it was the American people that decided this election, because the elite were doing their best to absolutely bury him.

Never before has the mainstream media been so openly biased against a major party presidential candidate. For months on end they dumped sewage on Trump, but it didn’t work.

Never before has a major party presidential candidate faced a civil war in his own party on the eve of the election. A whole host of big names in the Republican Party publicly announced that they would not vote for Trump, but it didn’t work.

Never before have we seen a bigger October surprise than the lewd tape from 11 year ago that came out and shocked the world. That would have instantly killed the campaign of any normal politician, but it didn’t kill Trump’s campaign.

From the very beginning it seemed like Trump was at war with almost everyone, and somehow he came out on top in the end.

He beat the Bushes and the Clintons.

He beat the Republicans and the Democrats.

He beat Hollywood and the mainstream media.

He beat the pollsters and the pundits.

He beat the never-Trumpers and the billionaire donors.

He beat Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Jay Z, Beyonce, George Clooney, Matt Damon and Lebron James.

He beat the forces of globalism, elitism and political correctness.

He beat CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and Barack Obama.

He beat them all.

Of course Donald Trump is not perfect and he is not going to be a perfect president.

But this is about as perfect a moment as you are going to get in American politics.

Donald Trump took on the entire American political universe and he won.

We have never seen anything like it before, and I doubt we will ever see anything like it again.

And I want to apologize for being so skeptical to those that kept trying to tell me that Trump was going to win. As a former attorney, I was trained to be skeptical and to look at the cold, hard numbers. And the cold, hard numbers kept telling me that a Trump victory was nearly impossible.

I kept strongly urging people to vote, particularly because the prospect of a Hillary Clinton presidency was absolutely horrifying for me personally, but I was not optimistic.

In hindsight, perhaps we all should have recognized that the signs were there. For example, it seems a very strange “coincidence” that Donald Trump will be 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old on his first full day as president of the United States. This is a man that appears to have had a date with destiny, and we shall see what happens in the months to come.

Yes, there will be great challenges ahead, but those discussions are for another day.

Today I am just happy.

I am happy that the American people have elected a man that I will be proud to call president.

And I am happy that we are not going to have to endure four years under the most wicked, vile and corrupt politician that the United States has ever seen.

Against all odds, Donald Trump won.

At this point I am not exactly sure what comes next for America, but things are definitely looking a lot brighter today than they did yesterday.
