3 Major Cable Channels And Hulu Confirm That They Are All Canceling Roseanne Reruns

As a result of one controversial tweet, now nobody in America will be able to watch old episodes of Roseanne anywhere on television from now on.  This is the kind of politically-correct hysteria that exists in America today

After a racist tweet by Roseanne Barr that created an outcry online, reruns of the Roseanne revival scheduled to air on Viacom networks Paramount Network, TV Land and CMT will be pulled from their respective schedules.

Roseanne reruns will be canceled on the three channels starting Wednesday, a Viacom spokesperson said.

Later on Tuesday a Hulu spokesperson also confirmed that the streaming platform would be dropping the show, writing, “We support ABC’s decision and are removing the show from Hulu.”

Is this really what our nation has become?

Someone makes a mistake with a single offensive remark and suddenly their memory must be wiped away from the public sphere entirely?

Meanwhile, comedians, television shows and big Hollywood movies constantly mock Christians and the Christian faith and nobody says much of anything…

ABC Cancels Roseanne – Controversial Tweet Creates Giant National Firestorm

Well, that didn’t take long.  It has just been a handful of weeks since Roseanne’s triumphant return to television took the nation by storm, and now her show has been canceled.  This is how the Hollywood Reporter summarized this stunning turn of events…

ABC, in a stunning move, has decided to cancel its Roseanne revival following star Roseanne Barr’s racist tweet Tuesday.

“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said Tuesday.
Early Tuesday, star, head writer and executive producer Barr attacked Valerie Jarrett, a senior adviser to former President Barack Obama, in a since-deleted tweet in which she said “Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj.” Barr subsequently apologized: “I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me — my joke was in bad taste.”

It is also being reported that reruns of the old show are being canceled all over cable television.
