Over the past six months, the world has kept their eyes open on the most aggressive and dangerous terrorist organizations today, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Recently, they have evolved their name simply to the Islamic State, but their plague of terror is still the same. The Inquisitr reported on the latest happenings pertaining to ISIS, which includes a report by the terrorist organization that they attacked Kobani in Turkey, even though Turkey denies it. Besides that, ISIS may have killed another American as they took credit to killing an oil worker named William Henderson.
According to an article by International Business Times, the United Nations Security Council warned that ISIS has enough weapons, artillery, and vehicles to keep fighting continuously for a range of six months to two years. The sheer size of their payload enables ISIS to move at such a wide range with greater mobility, despite its limited defenses against low-flying aircraft. Even if the coalitions led by the United States were to destroy vehicles and heavier weapons, ISIS still has a large volume of smaller weapons.
The report also states that ISIS is the most funded and best armed terrorist group out of all the others located in the Middle East. The list of military weaponry ISIS reportedly has includes T-55 and T-72 tanks, Humvees, machine guns, short-range anti-aircraft artillery, and shoulder-mounted rockets. It is also reported that most of these weapons were seized during raids on military armories from both Iraqi and Syrian forces.
