We live at a time when our society is absolutely teeming with left-wing nuts. The day after Charlie Kirk was assassinated, shots were fired at the University of Massachusetts and at the U.S. Naval Academy. In this hate-filled environment, every school, every church, and every political gathering is a potential target. It wasn’t like this when I was growing up. In the 1980s, I never imagined for a single moment that someone would come into my school or my church and start shooting. But now we live in a society where violence could literally erupt at any moment.
It isn’t just a few radicalized individuals that believe that politically-motivated violence is justified.
Sadly, surveys have discovered that we have reached a point where literally millions upon millions of Americans think that politically-motivated violence is at least somewhat justified.
On April 7th of this year, Charlie Kirk drove this point home in a tweet in which he warned that “assassination culture is spreading on the left”…
Just think about those numbers for a moment.
We are talking about approximately half of all “left of center” Americans.
That is tens of millions of people.
How are we supposed to have a civilized society when that many people are convinced that politically-motivated violence is at least partially justified?
I am not exaggerating when I warn that a lot more violence is coming.
This isn’t the country that we grew up in anymore.
There are a couple of other old Charlie Kirk tweets that I wanted to share with you.
In 2013, Charlie shared something truly poignant about what happens when good men die…
That is so true.
Charlie Kirk was a good man, and he will not be forgotten.
In 2016, Charlie posted something on Twitter that is ringing so true at this moment in time…
I have been deeply encouraged by how so many patriots are choosing to remember Charlie Kirk.
On the flip side, I have been absolutely horrified by how many on the left have been celebrating his death.
There is one video clip that is apparently from the Los Angeles area where a radical leftist is seen leading chants of “we got Charlie in the neck”…
A leftist celebrated the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk in a video that is making the rounds online.
The clip posted early Thursday shows a young man with a megaphone standing near a roadway while chanting, “We got Charlie in the neck!” while others at the scene clapped. He then appeared to shout, “Who’s up next?” to which people at the scene seemed to reply, “DHS!”
When I watched footage of this chanting, it absolutely disgusted me.

How can people be so vile?
Of course there has been a tremendous outpouring of hatred on social media as well.
In the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s death, many BlueSky users were suggesting prominent conservatives that should be assassinated next. The following are some of the examples that Zero Hedge posted earlier today…

I don’t even have the words to express how evil these leftists have become.
We are talking about the kind of people that would hunt down their enemies and slaughter them without hesitation if they had the opportunity.
When I warn my readers that our nation is more deeply divided than it has ever been before, I mean it.
The hatred that we are witnessing is off the charts.
These people don’t even care what happens to Charlie Kirk’s young children.
If you doubt this, just consider what a prominent “comedian” named Darius Dinkins is saying about Charlie Kirk’s death…
“I’m already seeing some of you all do it—that whole moral standpoint of, “Oh, I don’t care how you feel politically. Nobody deserves to…” Wrong. Some people do deserve to. He was a demon. Why do you all do this? Why do you all pretend to feel sad when a karmically deserved outcome hits someone who is evil? I don’t get it. I don’t understand.
“Oh, he had a family.” You know who else had families? Every single victim of the mass shootings that he’s repeatedly defended—the school shootings, the children of mass shootings that he’s excused, saying essentially they’re just collateral.
“Oh, he has kids. He has daughters.” You know what he said about his daughter? He said that he would force his daughter to give birth to the result of an assault if she got pregnant from it, and force her—even if she wanted to get rid of it. He would force her. They were going to hate him later anyway.
Why do people think like that?
It is because they have been trained to think like that.
And these hate-filled people often occupy high positions in our society…
An assistant dean at Middle Tennessee State University was fired after posting “inappropriate and callous comments,” about the murder of Charlie Kirk, the school’s president said in a Facebook post.
The employee was not identified in the post but U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., on social media identified her as Laura Sosh-Lightsy.
The post by Sosh-Lightsy said, “Looks like ol’ Charlie spoke his fate into existence,” she wrote. “Hate begets hate. ZERO sympathy,” according to Blackburn’s post.
This particular hate-filled individual may have lost her job, but there are countless others just like her.
For years, I have been writing about where all of this hate is taking us.
But my warnings have largely fallen on deaf ears.
We aren’t supposed to hate others.
We are supposed to love others.
Unfortunately, the civil unrest that we are witnessing now is going to get a lot worse.
And it can literally erupt just about anywhere.
On Wednesday night, a candlelight vigil that was being held for Charlie Kirk in Boise, Idaho ended in a violent brawl…
Hundreds of people gathered for a candlelight vigil in Boise following the assassination of Kirk on Wednesday. The 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA was gunned down during an event at Utah Valley University.
Members of the Utah House of Representatives hosted a vigil at the Idaho State Capitol in the hours after his death. The evening saw a moment of silence, prayers, and a series of patriotic chants in honor of Kirk. However, the event erupted in chaos when a violent brawl broke out.
Apparently the brawl erupted because a crazed leftist insulted Charlie Kirk as he came riding through the area on his motorcycle…
Video footage shared online showed a man riding a Lime bicycle appearing to shout “F— Charlie Kirk” while mourners chanted “USA!”
The man was quickly swarmed by a mob that could be seen throwing punches and kicks. Terrified screams could be heard in the background as scenes became increasingly violent.
This sort of thing has become so common.
Very dark days are ahead.
There is one last thing that I wanted to share before I close this article.
Two days before Charlie Kirk was assassinated, a left-wing website proudly announced that it had paid witches to put a curse on Charlie Kirk…
The website Jezebel has released a statement after paying witches to put a curse on conservative activist Charlie Kirk – just two days before he was shot and killed Wednesday at a Utah college event.
An article published on September 8 was titled ‘We Paid Some Etsy Witches to Curse Charlie Kirk’.
As news trickled in of Kirk’s assassination on Wednesday, the left-leaning website issued a statement clarifying the timing of the post.
Now they are trying to distance themselves from what happened to Charlie Kirk.
But the kind of inflammatory rhetoric that left-wing media outlets are constantly spewing helped to fuel the flames of hatred that ultimately led to Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
It must stop.
We don’t have to agree with one another to love one another.
If we continue to travel down the road that we are currently on, there is no hope for us.
A house that is divided will surely fall, and right now we are more divided than we have ever been.
