Harvard Researcher On Aging: There’s no ‘limit on the human lifespan’

But one researcher from Harvard Medical School, David Sinclair, believes the secret to stopping the aging process is closer than we think.

“I wouldn’t begin to put a limit on the human lifespan,” he says.

Sinclair has spent the past 20 years looking for ways to help people live longer, healthier lives.

In an exclusive look at his strictly guarded mouse lab, Sinclair showed us how his research team is looking to stop the clock on aging.

It was Sinclair’s research on resveratrol, a molecule found in grapes, that made headlines a decade ago when it showed promising results in keeping overfed mice as healthy as lean mice. Sinclair even chose to test resveratrol on himself, something he has been doing for the past 10 years, and he says he’s feeling fit and healthy.

  1. Ridiculous. The ONLY reason people believe this kind of stuff is that they reject the biblical explanation for why we get old and die. And that reason is sin. Adam and his wife died spiritually the day that they disobeyed God and ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And they eventually died physically. Adam’s sin was imputed to all of mankind, and we therefore all die.

There’s only ONE way to eternal life and that is to be born of God’s Spirit. But regeneration is not by the will of man. It’s wholly by the grace of God.

” But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:13 Which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13

      • You will die just like every other human being. And then you’ll see that YOU are the one who was deceived. But then it will be too late to do anything about it.

  2. The limit of our mortality is according to the Bible 120 years. Yet some people under the right conditions go past 120 years. I think the record in modern times might be 126 years.
The current life limit does not mean that someone could not come up with a way of changing the biological limit. There are enormous social problems with changing the limit.
Limiting population growth is one of them. We are all ready doing this with birth control pills and other means to limit the family growth.
Other creatures on this planet have much longer lifespans. Some members of the bird family and members of the turtle family have extremely long life spans barring accidental death.
Even if we stop the aging process itself, there is no guarantee of people actually not dying of other causes. It means that potentially someone could live an extremely long life.
One way in the future would be making copies of a person digitally and storing that image on some kind of complex computer device. Then transferring that person’s memories to the copy. That memory would have to be systematically updated. All of which is far beyond our current technology.

Teleportation with a transporter device could provide the copy technology as well. It is still being born because we certainly do not have it right now.
Manipulation of time itself might provide an answer.
Angels are supposedly immortal no matter what happens to them.
Would God allow us immortality in this life? Really don’t know under what conditions God might allow that. Most times we gain immortality after we die according to scriptures.
