Moldy salami, a tiny portion of salad and a green hot dog: More students post photos of Michelle Obama’s ‘pathetic’ school lunches as experts call for action

Michelle Obama School Lunch

She has come under fire for the ‘shortcomings’ of her Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act scheme.

Now, more students and parents have posted photos of Michelle Obama’s ‘measly’ school lunches.

The images, which were all posted on Twitter with the hashtag #ThanksMichelleObama, range from a slice of moldy salami in a wrap and a green hotdog to a small portion of salad with a side of cheese.

They come as the School Nutrition Association has called on Congress to amend the First Lady’s school meal restrictions, which have led to ‘1.4million fewer children choosing school lunch each day’.

  1. I don’t know about the rest of it, but the moldy food should go to the county health inspector.
Then they will close the entire cafeteria down until they improve sanitation.
I suspect more than one person is skimping here. So I wouldn’t be surprised to find someone getting fired or arrested for serving that food.

  2. I’d like to know why it’s Michele Obama’s falt that a school would serve moldy food. And if a school district recieves inferior food why aren’t they doing something about it. I work in food service and our school in on the federal food program. We DO NOT have these problems. The falt is with the food handlers at the schools and the food suppliers. And the health dept needs to be called in.
