(Mediaite) On Thursday, CNN’s Jim Acosta confronted White House press secretary Sarah Sanders and asked her if she would say that the press is not the enemy of the people. She did not.
In response, according to Acosta, he walked out of the room “saddened by what just happened.”
I walked out of the end of that briefing because I am totally saddened by what just happened. Sarah Sanders was repeatedly given a chance to say the press is not the enemy and she wouldn’t do it. Shameful.

CNN reporter Jim Acosta left the WH briefing while Sarah Huckabee Sanders was still speaking, saying afterwards: “I’m tired of this. It is not right, it is not fair, it is not just. It is un-American” for @PressSec to back up Trump about press being enemy pic.twitter.com/RBRCSbqjpV
