One illegal alien has cost a North Carolina county more than $100,000

Illegal Alien - Durham County Sheriff's Office

As is the case throughout the virtual ‘border state’ of North Carolina, the residents of Durham County are paying a heavy price, both literally and figuratively for the influx of cheap, albeit, illegal labor which has now flooded their county. Of course, the fact that the county seat of Durham currently has a ‘sanctuary policy’ in place plays a major role in this costly problem.

In 2003, the Durham city council enacted Resolution 9046, which forbids police officers from inquiring into a suspect’s immigration status, unless they are believed to have committed a “serious crime,” such as rape, murder, etc. This policy has not only the full support of Mayor Bill Bell, but that of Durham Police Chief Jose Lopez as well.

One inevitable result of such a policy is an influx of foreign criminals. So, how much is it costing Durham County?

DHS Report: 98% Of Central American Minors Illegally Entering The U.S. Are Allowed To Stay

Illegal Immigrants Sleeping On Floor - Photo from U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar

A leaked internal Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) indicates that recent public assertions made by the Administration were at best half-truths regarding the deportations and motivations of the waves of minors illegally entering the United States. The leaked report’s release date is identified as June 3, 2014. The internal report was leaked to Breitbart Texas by a trusted law enforcement source in DHS who wishes to remain unidentified.

The report, identified as “De-Classified” and “Law Enforcement Sensitive,” reveals the fact that only 0.1 percent of the Central American minors illegally entering the U.S. having been deported in Fiscal Year 2013, down from two percent prior, plays a significant role in why the current border crisis is occurring. The DHS-ICE agency report admits the fact that 98 percent are allowed to stay is a significant draw for the minors to come into the United States. The agency acknowledges that conditions in Central America play a role in why the wave is occurring, but directly contradicts the assertion that such conditions are the only significant reason the crisis exists. The report directly contradicts any assertion U.S. government refusals to deport illegal immigrants is not a significant factor in why the crisis is occurring.

Illegal Aliens Who Exposed Border Patrol Agents to Scabies May Have Been Released into Population

Illegal Immigration Diseases - Photo from Congressman Henry Cuellar

Illegal aliens presumed to have exposed border patrol agents in San Diego, California, to scabies may have been released into the general population, according to a July 4 letter from Ronald Zermeno, director of Health and Safety of a local chapter of the National Border Patrol Council, the union representing Border Patrol agents.

“We do not know exactly which detainee was infected and processed at Brown Field that resulted in the agent contracting this disease,” the letter, sent to Paul Beeson, Chief Patrol agent at the U.S. Border Patrol in Chula Vista, CA, said. “We suspect that they could have been already transferred to ICE custody and may have already been released in the surrounding communities.”

As reported by Breitbart California, two border patrol agents in San Diego contracted scabies from illegal immigrants sent from Texas.

Border Patrol Agent Defies Gag Order, Accuses Obama Administration Of ‘Facilitating The Smuggling Of Illegal Aliens’

Barack Obama

Border Patrol agent Hector Garcia on Thursday accused the Obama administration of “aiding, abetting and facilitating the smuggling of illegal aliens across the border.”

In an interview with CNN, Garza said the current influx of illegal immigrants is “organized” and “orchestrated” by the drug cartels. Additionally, he said the federal government is giving illegal immigrants a “free pass.” He said the feds are using the equivalent of the honor system in asking illegal immigrants to later report to an immigration hearing — even though the majority of them will never do so.

With resources being diverted to process illegals, the crisis then allows drug cartels to sneak illegal drugs and weapons across the U.S. border undetected, he explained.

Garza later argued that U.S. taxpayers are going to be on the hook to provide for the immigrant families.

“How do you expect a mother from Honduras that is crossing the country with 3 to 5 children, and they’re all young-aged children, how do you expect for that mother who comes to this country to actually begin working?” he asked.

He continued: “This illegal alien who comes to this country with 3 to 5 kids is gonna depend on our welfare system, on government assistance. And you know what? That is costing the taxpayer a lot of money.”
