We Just Saw Something That We Will Never, Ever See Again…

In the chaotic aftermath of New England’s 13-3 win over the Rams on Sunday, Tom Brady was clearly the center of attention. Even though he had definitely not played his best game, and even though his teammate Julian Edelman was voted MVP of the Super Bowl, it seemed like virtually everyone was striving to get to Brady in the middle of the field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta once the game had ended. He was greeted with hugs and kisses by his teammates, by his opponents, by Coach Belichick and even by Patriots owner Bob Kraft. No quarterback had ever won a Super Bowl at age 41, and everyone understands that the clock is ticking on Tom Brady’s football career. This could be Brady’s last turn on the Super Bowl stage, and the gravity of the moment seemed to weigh very heavily on the Patriots and their fans throughout the game. If Brady lost, he would be remembered as a Hall of Fame quarterback that lost his final two Super Bowls, but if he won he would forever be remembered as the quarterback with six Super Bowl rings.

NFL Favorability Drops To The Lowest Level Ever As Backlash Against Anthem Protests Explodes

The NFL is in the process of committing suicide.  To me, football is the greatest sport ever invented in the history of the world, and as a lifelong NFL fan it greatly saddens me to watch a game that I love being dragged through the mud.  No matter how powerful the NFL may think that it is, there is no possible way that it can go to war with the national anthem and the American flag and come out as a winner.  All over the country Americans are turning off their televisions and burning their jerseys, and the longer these kinds of “protests” continue, the worse it is going to get for the league.

Another NFL Player, A Major Soccer Star And An Entire Church Join Colin Kaepernick’s National Anthem Protest

Thanks to Colin Kaepernick, the playing of the national anthem before a sporting event is never going to be the same again.  At first there was a vicious backlash against Kaepernick for refusing to stand for the national anthem, but now large segments of the population are enthusiastically embracing him and his cause.  This week, Kaepernick’s jersey became the top selling jersey in the entire NFL.  If it wasn’t for this controversy that would be very odd, because Kaepernick has played very, very poorly over the past couple of years.

DEA agents raid NFL medical staffs after games

Federal drug enforcement agents showed up unannounced Sunday to check at least three visiting NFL teams' medical staffs as part of an investigation into former players' claims that teams mishandled prescription drugs. There were no arrests, Drug Enforcement Administration spokesman Rusty Payne said Sunday. The San Francisco 49ers' staff was checked at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, after they played the New York Giants.

The NFL Has Become A Circus Of Political Correctness

Do you remember when the NFL actually used to be about football? The NFL has become a reflection of society at large, and it has been disgusting to watch the transformation take place. And I am not talking about the reprehensible behavior of players such as Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson and Greg Hardy.
