Canada has the most computer literate kids

Our northern neighbors not only excel at making maple syrup, they’re also very successful at educating their youngsters. A new test measured the computer competency of thousands of Canadian kids, who reached an above average score, reports Engadget. In Ontario, 60,000 eighth graders took the International Computer Literacy Study, which assesses their ability to use a computer effectively, the website reported.

Canadian Shooter Was Recent Muslim Convert

Canadian authorities have identified the shooter who killed a soldier in Ottawa Wednesday as Michael Zehaf-Bibeau — a recent convert to Islam. Zehaf-Bibeau shot a soldier, 24-year-old Corporal Nathan Cirillo, at Ottawa’s National War Memorial, then entered the Canadian Parliament and fired several more rounds before the House of Commons Sergeant-At-Arms, Kevin Vickers, shot and killed him. The Biblical Stance That Has Canada’s First Christian Law School Locked in a Major Debate Over Gay Rights

A plethora of debate continues to rage surrounding a proposed Canadian law school’s mandatory requirement that students and faculty sign a pledge affirming that they will not enter into same-sex relationships. While the council of the Law Society of New Brunswick, the province’s independent legal body, decided in June to offer accreditation to the School of Law at Trinity Western University, an opposing resolution was passed by members Saturday, asking that the decision be overturned. The nonbinding resolution passed 137 to 30, according to a press release from Trinity Western University, which is planning to open Canada’s first Christian law school in 2016.
