Riots Near Ferguson After Cops Shoot Black Teen Who Pointed Handgun

Antonio Martin's Gun - Photo posted by Paul Joseph Watson on Twitter

Surveillance footage of the incident has been released with appears to show Antonio Martin pointing a gun at the officer before he was shot.

Clashes erupted at a gas station in Berkeley, Missouri last night in response to the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old black teen who reportedly pointed a handgun at police officers.

St. Louis County Police said in a statement that an officer fired several shots after “fearing for his life” when a male, later named as Antonio Martin, pulled a handgun. The gun was subsequently photographed at the scene, although demonstrators claimed it was planted.

How police stripped ‘patriots’ of their guns and threatened them with arrest as they guarded businesses in Ferguson – but let rioters set fire to building after building

Ferguson Violence - Photo from Wikipedia

The Oath Keepers were thrust into the spotlight when photos of them standing guard on top of buildings in Ferguson to stop them being burned during the recent unrest were published in the national media.

They are a pro-constitution group of former and serving soldiers, fireman and cops with a reported membership of 35,000, all of whom are volunteers.

They have been courted by the Tea Party, count Glenn Beck among their admirers and are deeply suspicious of the government.

One of the pledges in their manifesto reads: ‘We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.’

The dramatic incident was captured last weekend on top of a building the Oath Keepers vowed to protect, they say after seeking permission of all the business owners.

Ferguson Business Owners Ask Oath Keepers to Protect Them From Violent Michael Brown Supporters

Ferguson Violence - Photo from Wikipedia

Oath Keepers leader Sam Andrews told Infowars that business owners in Ferguson are begging them to protect private property against violent Michael Brown supporters even as police continue to harass members of the volunteer organization.

“Not only are they asking us to stay, more businesses are asking us ‘do you have more men, can you guard our business too?’ and so the business owners don’t want us to leave,” said Andrews, adding that residents believe the police have failed them in protecting against looters and arsonists.

Andrews noted that a plan to have police and National Guard in place on South and West Florissant last Monday night was revoked by Governor Nixon in favor of added security for government buildings, a change that virtually ensured Ferguson burned.

“That is criminal negligence, there’s nothing short of criminal negligence there,” said Andrews.

As we reported last week, Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder accused the Obama administration of leaning on Nixon to withdraw the National Guard from the worst hit areas at the height of the unrest. At least a dozen burned businesses were described as “total losses” after the rioting, while many others were looted. Some store owners such as Mumtaz Lalani have reluctantly chosen not to rebuild and are planning to leave Ferguson altogether.

Andrews complained that members of Oath Keepers continue to be harassed and threatened with arrest by police on the orders of St. Louis Police Chief Jon Belmar. Oath Keepers are now filing an injunction against St. Louis County Police to keep them away from private property.

Ferguson police chief says his officers are ‘pursuing’ an investigation into whether Michael Brown’s stepfather incited the riots that left the city a burning ruin last week

Ferguson Civil Unrest - Photo by Loavesofbread

Michael Brown’s step father Louis Head could face charges for inciting the mob violence that left parts of Ferguson a smouldering wreck this time last week, claims the city’s police chief.

According to Thomas Jackson, the Ferguson Police department is ‘pursuing’ an investigation into whether Brown was in part responsible for starting last weeks fiery riot by screaming ‘Burn this motherf****r down! Burn this bi**h down!’ on discovering the grand jury’s decision.

Speaking on Monday night’s Fox News, Jackson was asked by host Sean Hannity whether he believed charges should be pressed against Head for his role in the disturbances that evening, posing the question, ‘Is that inciting a riot?’

In reply, Jackson said, ‘We are pursuing those comments. And there is a lot of discussion going on about that right now. But I really can’t get into that right now.’

Police arrest three St. Louis teens accused of beating Bosnian immigrant to death with hammers in front of his wife after he got out to confront them when they attacked his car

Hammer - Public Domain

Police in St Louis have made a third arrest in connection to Sunday’s deadly hammer attack on a Bosnian immigrant, charging a 17-year-old as an adult in the slaying.

Zemir Begic, 32, a South City resident of Bosnian descent, was driving home with his newlywed wife at around 1.15am when police say a group of teenagers approached his car and began vandalizing it.

Begic emerged from his vehicle to try and stop them, at which point the teenagers allegedly attacked him with hammers, striking him in the head, face and abdomen.

The motorist was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries a short time later. His wife escaped unharmed after her husband reportedly shielded her from the attackers with his body.

SWAT Police Caught Setting Fires In Ferguson?

SWAT Team

Para-military Police setting fire to a vehicle in front of Advance Auto Parts in St. Louis MO. This happens on W Florissant Ave., the same street where nearly every fire occurred. Despite having this building locked down, Advance Auto Parts burnt down to the ground!

Is this proof that police were deliberately setting the fires after the announcement of the Grand Jury Decision not to indict Darren Wilson in the shooting of Michael Brown?

Also notice that the nearby buildings are on fire but “rioters” are no where to be seen. I suggest the possibility that these buildings were being methodically torched by SWAT/Para-military Police operatives to create the illusion that this was done by Protesters/Looters.

Ferguson police shut down armed ‘Oath Keeper’ vigilantes guarding rooftops of besieged town

Ferguson Rioting

A ‘mysterious’ militia group that appeared on rooftop patrols in Ferguson pledging to protect private property has been ordered to stand down.

Oath Keepers, a vigilante organization consisting of former and current military, police and firefighters, abandoned their posts on Saturday night after being threatened with arrest.

Equipped with militia-style clothing and firearms, the Oath Keepers had been offering free security for businesses at risk of looting and arson in Ferguson.

They took up positions on rooftops after the St Louis suburb erupted in an orgy of violence and destruction following the grand jury decision not to indict Darren Wilson, the white police officer who shot dead 18-year-old Michael Brown.

10 Signs That Communists Are Infiltrating The Ferguson Protests

Ferguson Protesters Communist Revolution - Posted to Twitter by Breaking911

The far left is rising in America, and radical communists are being drawn to Ferguson protests all over the nation like moths to a flame.  So could Ferguson be the spark that sets off a significant communist movement in America?  Certainly I am not saying that everyone involved in the Ferguson protests is a communist.  That is not true at all.  In fact, communists and other far left groups only make up a minority of the protesters.  But they have repeatedly been at the forefront of the violence, and they are taking advantage of the anger and frustration caused by the death of Michael Brown to promote their far left radical ideologies.  Sadly, they are finding a receptive audience – especially among young people in our poor and disadvantaged communities.  Even though Republicans did very well in the last election, survey after survey has shown that our young adults continue to move to the left.  For example, one survey taken a few years ago found that 49 percent of all Americans in the 18 to 29-year-old age range have a positive reaction to the word “socialism”.  The same forces that fueled Occupy Wall Street are now finding fertile ground in these new protests.  So what does all of this mean for the future of our nation?  The following are 10 signs that communists are infiltrating the Ferguson protests…

#1 Communist protest banners have been prominently displayed at protests in Ferguson, in New York City and elsewhere around the nation.

#2 Flyers declaring that Darren Wilson is wanted “for racist murder” are being distributed by communist groups in Ferguson. In fact, the website address for the “Revolutionary Communist Progressive Labor Party” is right on the flyers.

#3 There were reports that violent communist activists from Chicago were brought into Ferguson by bus last August with the intention of stirring up as much trouble as possible…

Here’s the inside scoop on the latest violence in St. Louis. There’s a lot of buzz on the ground about a communist group that was bussed into Ferguson from Chicago. They provoked the police with Molotov cocktails the night of August 13th while the local protesters peacefully protested. That’s when police responded with gas and flash grenades. Their reported goal is to make the protests go super-violent, spread across the region, and spark a revolution. They are said to visibly stand out from the local protesters in how they respond to police and intimidate reporters when photos and video are taken of them. Expect to hear more about this in the coming days.

#4 During the past week, communists from Chicago have once again descended on Ferguson in large numbers. In the video posted below, communists from Chicago proudly display a banner as they verbally provoke the police in Ferguson…

#5 After Thanksgiving, communists were spotted protesting in front of a Wal-Mart store in Ferguson

On Friday, the Wal-Mart store opened as scheduled at 8 a.m., but there were relatively few shoppers. As they entered, they were told there were “no sale items,” and many then turned away. An assistant manager said that since the store was not open Thursday, staff could not set up sale items, so sales were redeployed to other stores. Police patrolled the parking lot and private security guards were posted inside the store. A handful of protesters, including members of the Revolutionary Communist Party, were told to leave the parking lot. They stood at the entrance to the parking lot with signs that said “No Shopping As Usual Black Lives Matter Friday.”

#6 Outside the courthouse in Ferguson on Friday, a crowd of protesters was overheard chanting this phrase over and over: “The only solution is a communist revolution“.

#7 In this next video, a communist interrupts a nationally televised press conference in Ferguson…

#8 It is one thing to protest perceived injustice. It is another thing to publicly burn the American flag. This is something that communist groups love to do, and it is symbol of deep hatred for this country.

#9 The mainstream media has actually been noting the appearance of communist groups at Ferguson protests all over the nation. For instance, CBS Seattle recently reported that “communists” and “Palestinian groups” have joined the protests in Portland, Oregon.

#10 WND has documented that a top Occupy Wall Street organizer has been training Ferguson protesters how to “simulate chaos”…

In a development that may portend extended disruptions, veteran street organizer Lisa Fithian, previously dubbed “Professor Occupy,” recently trained Ferguson protesters how to “simulate chaos.”

Fithian is a legendary organizer who once announced she seeks to “create crisis, because crisis is that edge where change is possible.”

Once again, it must be noted that I am not saying that all Ferguson protesters are communists. Only a minority of them are. But the communists and other radical leftist organizations are tapping into all of the racial strife and discord to promote their radical philosophies.

And the groundwork has already been laid well in advance. Minority voters have been extremely loyal to the Democrats for decades, and at this point the agenda of the Democratic Party compares very favorably to the 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto.

Not that the Republicans are much different. In fact, many “Republicans” are essentially raging socialists at this point. But that is a topic for another article.

America has been steadily moving to the left, and the far left has been looking for a spark.

Ferguson may have finally provided that spark for them, and this country might not ever be the same as a result.

So watch carefully what is going on in Ferguson right now.

The fire of revolution is burning on the streets of Ferguson today, but a few years from now major cities all over the nation may be ablaze.

Ferguson demonstrators set fire to American flag outside police department in another restless night of protests

Flames - Public Domain

Protesters in Ferguson have set an American flag ablaze in another night of protests over the shooting of teenager Michael Brown and the clearing of the officer who killed him.

A group of youths crowded round outside the Ferguson Police Department’s headquarters as one of their number held the burning flag above a drain grate.

It came amid continuing discontent in the Missouri town after a grand jury decided not to indict Darren Wilson, the officer who fatally shot Michael Brown, 18, on August 9 this year.

Darren Wilson, the police officer who fatally shot an unarmed teenager in August, has resigned from the police department in Ferguson, Missouri, his attorney, Neil Bruntrager, confirmed to CNN Saturday night.

In a telephone interview with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Wilson said he resigned after the police department told him it received threats of violence if he remained an employee.

“I’m resigning of my own free will,” he said. “I’m not willing to let someone else get hurt because of me.”

He said resigning was “the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.”

Missouri Lieutenant Governor: Arrest Michael Brown’s Stepfather For ‘Burn This B**ch Down’ Comments

Flames - Public Domain

Missouri Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder has called for the arrest of the stepfather of Ferguson’s Michael Brown, following the emergence of video footage in which he was seen inciting rioters.

Louis Head, was filmed telling angry mobs in Ferguson Monday to “burn this bi**h down,” after the grand jury announced no indictment for the police officer who shot and killed Brown.

What followed was an intense night of rioting and looting, during which several buildings and vehicles were burned by agitators.

Appearing on Laura Ingraham’s radio show, Kinder was asked “When you hear that soundbite from the stepfather of Michael Brown, what’s your reaction?”

“That he should be arrested and charged with inciting to riot,” the state Republican lawmaker immediately answered.

It also emerged this week that Mr Head is likely a member of the notorious Bloods gang, according to an anonymous police source connected to the Ferguson chief of police. Brown, himself was captured in several pictures flashing gang signs. Although not directly connected to the events that transpired, it certainly gives an idea of the attitude Head and Brown may have had when it comes to law enforcement.

Eyewitness statements that created ‘hands up, don’t shoot’ myth found to be ‘inconsistent, fabricated or provably wrong’

Ferguson Protesters - Photo by Jamelle Bouie

Bob McCulloch, the St. Louis County prosecutor, said the grand jury had to weigh testimony that conflicted with physical evidence and conflicting statements by witnesses as it decided whether Wilson should face charges.

“Many witnesses to the shooting of Michael Brown made statements inconsistent with other statements they made and also conflicting with the physical evidence. Some were completely refuted by the physical evidence,” McCulloch said.

The decision Monday not to charge Wilson with any crime set off more violent protests in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson and around the country, fueled by claims that the unarmed black 18-year-old was shot while surrendering to the white officer in the mostly African-American city.

Obama And The Media Are Fueling The Riots In Ferguson, But Real Leaders Are Trying To Bring Us Together

Ferguson Protesters Burning American Flag - YouTube Screenshot

Barack Obama says that the notion that our laws are not being enforced uniformly is “rooted in reality” and that the rioting in Ferguson will “make for good TV”. Time Magazine says that the Ferguson riots “are part of the American experience” and “are a necessary part of the evolution of society”. Statements such as these stir the pot in Ferguson and provide fuel for the violent protests that have erupted nationwide. And now that protesters are rioting and looting in major cities all over America, all sorts of angry and dissatisfied individuals are coming out of the woodwork. For example, CBS Seattle is reporting that “communists” and “Palestinian groups” have joined the protests in Portland. This kind of civil unrest draws them in like a moth to a flame. But instead of stirring the pot in Ferguson like Obama and the media are doing, real leaders are trying to bring us together. Setting fires and destroying businesses is not going to solve anything. But if we love one another and resolve to work together, anything is possible.

If federal, state and local authorities wanted to prevent the violence that we have witnessed in Ferguson, they could have done it. They had more than three months to prepare, and they had control over exactly when the grand jury decision would be announced. All of the key areas of Ferguson could have been absolutely inundated with police and National Guard troops. But instead, police and firefighters were held back, and National Guard forces were nowhere to be seen on Monday night. So either this was a case of gross incompetence on the part of the authorities, or someone wanted this to happen. For a complete analysis of this, please see my recent article entitled “Did They Want More Violence In Ferguson? 10 ‘Coincidences’ Too Glaring To Ignore“.

In addition, authorities also had to know that if images of rioting, looting and burning buildings were broadcast nationwide from Ferguson on Monday night that it would likely spark similar incidents in other cities. And that is precisely what has happened. For example, the following is from a CNN report about what happened in Oakland on Tuesday night…

Perhaps the greatest concentration of turmoil Tuesday night was in Oakland, where vandals smashed the windows of a car dealership and looted several businesses, including a T-Mobile cell phone store.

Some also set several bonfires in the city. One row of bonfires stretched across a road, blocking off access, footage from CNN affiliate KPIX showed.

Sadly, similar acts of violence are being reported all over the nation on Wednesday.

But these are not spontaneous protests. This kind of rioting has been hyped for so long on the big mainstream news networks that it became something of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Even Barack Obama knew ahead of time that the violent reaction to the grand jury decision would “make for good TV”

“There is inevitably going to be some negative reaction, and it’ll make for good TV.”

And after the violence that we saw on Monday night, Obama added even more fuel to the fire on Tuesday when he made the following statement…

“A grand jury made a decision yesterday that upset a lot of people. And as I said last night, the frustrations that we have seen, are not just about a particular incident. They have deep roots in many communities of color, who have a sense that our laws are not always being enforced uniformly or fairly. That may not be true everywhere. And it’s certainly not true for the vast majority of law enforcement officials, but that’s an impression that folks have and it’s not just made up. It’s rooted in reality.

Of course the mainstream media is generally taking the side of the violent protesters as well. For example, Time Magazine’s Darlena Cunha actually penned an article entitled “Ferguson: In Defense of Rioting“…

When a police officer shoots a young, unarmed black man in the streets, then does not face indictment, anger in the community is inevitable. It’s what we do with that anger that counts. In such a case, is rioting so wrong?

Riots are a necessary part of the evolution of society. Unfortunately, we do not live in a universal utopia where people have the basic human rights they deserve simply for existing, and until we get there, the legitimate frustration, sorrow and pain of the marginalized voices will boil over, spilling out into our streets.

What in the world is happening to our country?

There are protesters burning American flags right in the heart of Washington D.C., in Ferguson, and in major cities all over America and very few people seem to care.

This is not the way to resolve things as a society. If our forefathers could see us today they would be absolutely ashamed.

For example, the University of Pennsylvania was founded by Benjamin Franklin. What do you think he would have made of this statement by University of Pennsylvania religious studies professor Anthea Butler?…

America’s racist god requires black people’s blood to atone for the sins committed by its followers. This time, the blood shed in sacrifice to this god of white supremacy was Michael Brown’s. Darren Wilson, an agent of that god, was vindicated. For his reward, he is showered with blood money from other followers of the racist god.

No one should be surprised that Darren Wilson was not indicted by the grand jury. Prosecutor Robert McCulloch played the role of Pontius Pilate, washing his and Darren Wilson’s hands of impunity, while the sacrifice, Michael Brown, was deemed worthy of death because in Wilson’s words “he look[ed] like a demon.” Wilson even uses the sacred instrument to complete his sacrifice to the god of American Whiteness: the gun.

This is not the kind of language that brings people together.

Rather, it is the kind of language that tears nations apart.

And it is just a matter of time before radical groups such as ISIS attempt to exploit all of this racial division for their own purposes. In fact, according to the Daily Mail this is already happening…

Using the slogan ‘From #IS 2 Ferguson’, Birmingham-born jihadi Junaid Hussain, 20 – who has adopted the nom de guerre Abu Hussain al-Britani – this morning tweeted a photograph of a hand-written letter urging the Ferguson rioters to ‘reject corrupt man-made laws like democracy’ and declare their allegiance to ISIS’ leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The note Hussain posted on Twitter today is titled ‘From #IS 2 Ferguson’ and contains a promise to send militants to the Missouri city if protesters pledge allegiance to ISIS.

It reads: ‘We hear you and we will help you if you accept Islam and reject corrupt man-made laws like democracy and pledge your allegiance to Caliph Abu Bakr and then we will shed our blood for you and send our soldiers that don’t sleep, whose drink is blood, and their play is carnage.’

What we need at this moment are real leaders.

What we need are more men and women like tight end Benjamin Watson of the New Orleans Saints. The response to the Ferguson riots that he posted on his Facebook page acknowledges the pain that people on all sides are feeling, and it has over 400,000 likes so far…

At some point while I was playing or preparing to play Monday Night Football, the news broke about the Ferguson Decision. After trying to figure out how I felt, I decided to write it down. Here are my thoughts:

I’M ANGRY because the stories of injustice that have been passed down for generations seem to be continuing before our very eyes.

I’M FRUSTRATED, because pop culture, music and movies glorify these types of police citizen altercations and promote an invincible attitude that continues to get young men killed in real life, away from safety movie sets and music studios.

I’M FEARFUL because in the back of my mind I know that although I’m a law abiding citizen I could still be looked upon as a “threat” to those who don’t know me. So I will continue to have to go the extra mile to earn the benefit of the doubt.

I’M EMBARRASSED because the looting, violent protests, and law breaking only confirm, and in the minds of many, validate, the stereotypes and thus the inferior treatment.

I’M SAD, because another young life was lost from his family, the racial divide has widened, a community is in shambles, accusations, insensitivity hurt and hatred are boiling over, and we may never know the truth about what happened that day.

I’M SYMPATHETIC, because I wasn’t there so I don’t know exactly what happened. Maybe Darren Wilson acted within his rights and duty as an officer of the law and killed Michael Brown in self defense like any of us would in the circumstance. Now he has to fear the backlash against himself and his loved ones when he was only doing his job. What a horrible thing to endure. OR maybe he provoked Michael and ignited the series of events that led to him eventually murdering the young man to prove a point.

I’M OFFENDED, because of the insulting comments I’ve seen that are not only insensitive but dismissive to the painful experiences of others.

I’M CONFUSED, because I don’t know why it’s so hard to obey a policeman. You will not win!!! And I don’t know why some policeman abuse their power. Power is a responsibility, not a weapon to brandish and lord over the populace.

I’M INTROSPECTIVE, because sometimes I want to take “our” side without looking at the facts in situations like these. Sometimes I feel like it’s us against them. Sometimes I’m just as prejudiced as people I point fingers at. And that’s not right. How can I look at white skin and make assumptions but not want assumptions made about me? That’s not right.

I’M HOPELESS, because I’ve lived long enough to expect things like this to continue to happen. I’m not surprised and at some point my little children are going to inherit the weight of being a minority and all that it entails.

I’M HOPEFUL, because I know that while we still have race issues in America, we enjoy a much different normal than those of our parents and grandparents. I see it in my personal relationships with teammates, friends and mentors. And it’s a beautiful thing.

I’M ENCOURAGED, because ultimately the problem is not a SKIN problem, it is a SIN problem. SIN is the reason we rebel against authority. SIN is the reason we abuse our authority. SIN is the reason we are racist, prejudiced and lie to cover for our own. SIN is the reason we riot, loot and burn. BUT I’M ENCOURAGED because God has provided a solution for sin through the his son Jesus and with it, a transformed heart and mind. One that’s capable of looking past the outward and seeing what’s truly important in every human being. The cure for the Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice and Eric Garner tragedies is not education or exposure. It’s the Gospel. So, finally, I’M ENCOURAGED because the Gospel gives mankind hope.

Why can’t Barack Obama issue a statement like that?

If we continue down our current path, it is only a matter of time before our nation is torn to shreds.

We desperately need leaders that are going to be willing to stand up and bring us together and heal old wounds.

But at this point those leaders appear to be vastly outnumbered by those that want to stir up violence and promote discord.

Protests over Ferguson shooting enter third day

Ferguson Protests - Public Domain

Activists rushed into St. Louis City Hall on Wednesday to protest a grand jury decision not to indict a white police officer who fatally shot an unarmed black man in nearby Ferguson as the region moved into its third day of demonstrations.

Hundreds of people demonstrated in front of the municipal building, shouting “Shame, Shame.” Some then entered the building and police, carrying riot shields, quickly responded.

As many as five people were arrested, officials said.

“The violence we saw in areas of Ferguson last night cannot be repeated,” Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon said Tuesday, announcing that he is sending hundreds more members of the National Guard to the city that saw intense looting on Monday night.

“Last night, criminals intent on lawlessness and destruction terrorized this community,” Nixon said, “burning buildings, firing gunshots, vandalizing storefronts, and looting family businesses — many for the second time.”

Nixon said he’d just returned from West Florissant Avenue, a focal point of the unrest. He called the situation there “a heartbreaking sight,” with residents afraid to go outside.

Darren Wilson’s friends demand that ‘star’ witness in Michael Brown case be charged with PERJURY for his ‘hands up, don’t shoot lie’ after grand jury rejects teen’s version of events

Michael Brown Irony

Close friends of Darren Wilson have called for the star witness in the Michael Brown shooting to be charged for lying about what he saw.

Two of the Ferguson police officer’s best friends told MailOnline that Dorian Johnson – who was next to Brown at the time – should be arrested for his statements in numerous TV interviews he made days afterwards.

They say that he made up the claim that Brown had his hands up which kickstarted the ‘Hands up, don’t shoot’ protest movement.

For his part Johnson told the grand jury that the whole process has left him feeling ‘victimized’.

He also revealed that the altercation began because he didn’t like how Wilson spoke to him like a father telling off his son.

More than 170 protests sprouted up across the country Tuesday. Some crowds blocked bridges, tunnels and major highways. But unlike the violence that erupted in Ferguson on Monday night, most of the demonstrations were peaceful.

In New York, a protesters spanning an array of races and ages filled Times Square with their hands up, some chanting, “Don’t shoot.” In Washington, a crowd including prep school students lay silently on a sidewalk, as if dead. And in Boston, even jail inmates joined in the protest silently from a window.

Brave female Good Samaritan tackles Ferguson looters unarmed as they kick in windows at Papa John’s and sends them packing

A video shows the incredible moment a female Good Samaritan bravely defends a Papa John’s store from looters during riots that turned parts of Ferguson, Missouri, into an urban warzone.

The unarmed woman is seen using her hands to guide a masked man away from the storefront, after he starts punching the windows in an attempt to smash the glass.

She places her body between the store and the man and appears to be trying to reason with the looter, who squares up to her and jabs his finger aggressively in her face.

The looter continues raining blows on the storefront, kicking the glass furiously. He is joined by a second man who shouts in her face, but she refuses to back down.

Both looters seem to get angrier, and the masked man pushes the woman aggressively, before raising his fists at her. But he then backs off and is led away by the other man.

Did They Actually Want Civil Unrest To Erupt In Ferguson? 10 ‘Coincidences’ That Are Too Glaring To Ignore

Ferguson Civil Unrest - Photo by Loavesofbread

Was it a conspiracy or was it incompetence? Those appear to be the only two alternatives that we are left with after the horrific violence that we witnessed in Ferguson on Monday night. The first round of Ferguson rioting back in August took everyone by surprise, but this time authorities had more than three months to prepare. They had the ability to control precisely when the grand jury decision would be announced and how many cops and National Guard troops would be deployed on the streets. But despite all this, the violence in Ferguson on Monday night was even worse than we witnessed back in August. Either this was a case of almost unbelievable incompetence, or there was someone out there that actually wanted this to happen. If someone out there is actually trying to provoke more violence in Ferguson, then the rioters are being played like a fiddle. Most of them have no idea that they could potentially just be pawns in a game that is far larger than they ever imagined. The only other alternative to explain what we just saw is incompetence on a level that is absolutely laughable. Something definitely does not smell right about all of this, and let us hope that at some point the American people get the truth. The following are 10 “coincidences” from Monday night in Ferguson that are too glaring to ignore…

#1 Federal, state and local law enforcement authorities had more than three months to prepare for the violence that would follow the announcement of the grand jury decision. The mainstream media endlessly hyped this controversy and everyone knew that trouble would be brewing. But despite an enormous amount of time to prepare, very little was actually done to prevent any violence from happening.

#2 Someone made the decision to make the public announcement about the grand jury decision in the evening. Anyone involved in law enforcement knows that crowd control is far more difficult after dark. This also ensured that instead of being tied up with work or school, a maximum number of protesters would be able to be involved in the violence.

#3 Fortunately for the mainstream media, the announcement of the grand jury decision was perfectly timed to provide the largest possible number of prime time viewers for the big news networks.

#4 Just like back in August, no law enforcement authorities of any kind responded while dozens of businesses were vandalized, looted and set of fire.

#5 According to Ferguson Mayor James Knowles, National Guard troops were purposely held back from intervening in the rioting that was unleashed when the grand jury decision was made known to the public…

In a press conference, he called the delay “deeply concerning” and said the Guard troops were available but were not deployed when city officials asked.

The troops had been readied last week by Gov. Jay Nixon as the grand jury announcement neared. But as gunshots rang out in the night and looters torched buildings, they were nowhere to be seen.

#6 It is being reported that the heavily armed National Guard troops were limited to “keeping the peace at a courthouse, patrolling the outskirts of town and preventing disturbances in other suburbs” as horrific violence raged in the heart of Ferguson on Monday night.

#7 Missouri Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder has accused Missouri Governor Jay Nixon of holding back the National Guard troops because of pressure from the Obama administration. On Monday night, he angrily made the following statement to Fox News…

“Is the reason that the National Guard was not in there because the Obama Administration and the Holder Justice Department leaned on you to keep them out? I cannot imagine any other reason why the governor who mobilized the National Guard would not have them in there to stop this.”

#8 The Washington Post has documented that Attorney General Eric Holder had been in direct contact with Governor Nixon and had expressed “frustration” with the fact that the National Guard had been activated…

A top aide to Holder called the governor’s office earlier this week to express Holder’s displeasure and “frustration,” according to a Justice Department official.

“Instead of de-escalating the situation, the governor escalated it,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the subject. “He sent the wrong message. The tone of the press conference was counterproductive.”

#9 Firefighters in Ferguson did not immediately respond to calls to put out the multiple fires that were set by protesters. As a result, many businesses essentially burned to the ground. But this did make for some amazing television footage.

#10 In the worst of the “war zones”, journalists with cameras and microphones were crawling all over the place while there were hardly any police to be seen at all. How is it possible that law enforcement could have failed so badly? Could it be possible that this was orchestrated on purpose?

Sadly, as I have written about previously, the civil unrest that we are witnessing in Ferguson is just a small preview of what is coming to America.

The anger and frustration that are seething under the surface in this country have reached a boiling point. Instead of coming together, we are seemingly more divided than ever. Americans have been trained to hate one another, fear one another and blame one another. I fear that we are not too far away from actually becoming ungovernable.

And when the next major wave of the economic crisis strikes and we start experiencing real suffering in this nation, the temper tantrums that we are going to witness in our major cities are going to make what is happening in Ferguson right now look like a Sunday picnic.

So buckle up and hold on, because it is going to be a really bumpy ride from here on out.

Ferguson is not the end – it is just the beginning of a horrible new chapter in American history.

Police tactics in Ferguson puzzle residents, experts

Ferguson Looting - Posted by Michael Calhoun On Twitter

Law enforcement officials had more than three months from the August shooting death of Michael Brown to Monday’s reveal of the grand jury decision to prepare for protests.

Yet many of the tactics used by Missouri prosecutors and police — from scheduling the announcement at night to not deploying National Guard troops — puzzled experts and are being questioned by residents in the wake of destructive protests in Ferguson that appeared to spiral out of control.

“They said they had a plan. They said they were going to protect our businesses and community,” said Rob White, pastor of Peace of Mind Church and a protest organizer. “That plan failed miserably.”

Evidence: Michael Brown Was High on Pot and Carrying a Bag of It

Michael Brown Gangster

Michael Brown had THC, a behavior-altering substance found in marijuana, in his system when he was killed on August 9th by Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson, according to a toxicology report performed at a St. Louis University lab.

The toxicology screen, which was done on Aug. 10th, found “12 nanograms/ML of Delta-9-THC”, the primary psychoactive ingredient in pot, in Brown’s bloodstream at the time of his death.

This amount of Delta-9-THC in Brown’s blood was more than twice the amount that in Washington State–where marijuana is legal–would allow someone to be arrested for driving under the influence.

Michael Brown’s Stepfather Urged Protesters To ‘Burn This Bitch Down’ After Grand Jury Announcement

Flames - Public Domain

Michael Brown’s stepfather last night repeatedly urged protesters to “Burn this bitch down” after a prosecutor announced that no criminal charges would be filed against the Ferguson, Missouri police officer who killed the unarmed teenager.

Louis Head, an ex-con who is married to Brown’s mother, Lesley McSpadden, was with McSpadden outside the Ferguson Police Department headquarters Monday evening as prosecutor Robert McCulloch disclosed that a grand jury declined to vote an indictment against Officer Darren Wilson in the August 9 shooting.

After consoling a weeping McSpadden, the 38-year-old Head–who was standing atop a platform in the middle of the agitated crowd of several hundred protesters–began screaming “Burn this bitch down!” He did this at least ten times, and at one point yelled for a microphone so that he could broadcast his incendiary message beyond the range of his unamplified voice.

Ferguson Witnesss Told Investigators That Michael Brown Charged Cop ‘Like a Football Player – Head Down’

Included in the grand jury material released tonight after the announcement that no charges would be filed in the Michael Brown killing is a handwritten witness account stating that the teenager charged at Officer Darren Wilson “like a football player. Head down.”

The unidentified witness wrote that the 18-year-old Brown “has his arms out with attitude,” while “The cop just stood there.” The witness added, “Dang if that kid didn’t start running right at the cop like a football player. Head down.”

The witness told of hearing “3 bangs,” but “the big kid wouldn’t stop.”

Buildings torched, 61 arrested in Ferguson protests

Ferguson Police Car On Fire

The announcement touched off a protest that, at its furious peak, saw demonstrators taunting police, shattering windows and setting fire to two police cars. St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar said at least a dozen buildings burned and that he had heard at least 150 gunshots, none fired by police. He said 59 of those arrested were from the area.

Scores of police officers, armed with riot gear, dispersed hundreds of protesters with volleys of tear gas, pepper spray and bean bags. The area looked like a war zone Tuesday, with looted and burned out stores sitting amid broken glass and trash.

“I’m disappointed,” Belmar said, adding that it would have taken “10,000” officers to control the mayhem. “What I’ve seen tonight is probably worse than the worst night we had in August.”

Gov. Jay Nixon issued a statement saying the National Guard, which was called out Monday, would provide more troops Tuesday night.

Ferguson Protesters Threaten to Rape and Kill Wives of Police

Ferguson Police Car

According to a report posted by the Pundit Press and Fox News, Ferguson protesters are threatening family members of police in the embattled Missouri city.

The incident was witnessed by officials of the Obama Justice Department:

According to the wife of one police officer, protesters have screamed profanity at her husband and specifically threatened to rape and murder her and her family should they ever find out the officer’s name.

She said that protesters have told her husband, “we’re going to go to your house. We’re going to rape your wives then we’re going to kill them and we’re going to kill your children,” all while Department of Justice agents looked on.

The Justice Department insists police in Ferguson wear identifiable name tags. The wife of a police officer was told by a Department of Justice agent that if police are “afraid of the citizens of Ferguson, they shouldn’t be police.”

“You will never be safe, never in your life. None of you. Not you, not your children – none of you will be safe,” a protester told police last week.

Ferguson Protesters Erupt Outside Police Department: ‘What Do We Want? Darren Wilson! How Do We Want Him? Dead!’

Ferguson Protesters - Photo by Jamelle Bouie

Protesters in Ferguson, Mo., have taken to the streets and chosen not to wait for a grand jury’s decision before clashing with police once again. A grand jury is expected to decide whether to indict police officer Darren Wilson, who is accused of shooting 18-year-old Michael Brown, in the coming days. But protesters made their voices heard outside the Ferguson Police Department on Thursday night shouting, “What do we want? Darren Wilson! How do we want him? Dead!”

Protesters gathered on South Florissant Road outside the police department and halted traffic.  Police responded by coming out of the station and forming a line behind the barricade protecting the department. The protesters grew visibly angry and began challenging the police officers. In this video, a protester verbally assaults a police officer who is filming the demonstration outside the department. Warning: Video contains foul language.

Some women protesters taunted a couple of female police officers by yelling, “Who’s taking care of your husband?”

Ferguson Cop Advises Residents to Get a Gun: ‘We will not be able to protect you or your family’

Gun - Public Domain

Things are about to get real in Ferguson, Missouri, regardless of the decision of the Grand Jury in the Michael Brown case.

So real, in fact, that the governor of Missouri has already declared a State of Emergency and called in the National Guard.

So real, in fact, that at least some of the local cops believe citizens need to arm themselves, because they know they won’t be able to protect them from the chaos that is sure to ensue.

A post on a local forum, St. Louis Cop Talk, is all the buzz right now.  Someone posting under the username “A Concerned Cop” wrote:

“If you do not have a gun, get one and get one soon. We will not be able to protect you or your family,” he wrote. “It will be your responsibility to protect them. Our gutless commanders and politicians have neutered us. I’m serious, get a gun, get more than one, and keep one with you at all times.”

Shortly after the post was picked up by the alternative media on Vocative.com, the forum was disabled.

The locals are taking the warnings seriously.  One gun store owner reports a massive increase in sales in during the past week.

“These people are afraid,” said Steve King, the owner of Metro Shooting Supplies in nearby Bridgeton. King says his store typically sells 30 to 40 firearms a week. This week, it has sold 250. “One hundred percent of them are buying because of Ferguson.” (source)

Of course, those of us who are into preparedness have known this all along. As the saying goes, “When seconds count, the cops are only minutes away.”  This will be especially true in the event of an eruption of civil unrest, fueled by racial tensions.

Back in August, when the shooting occurred, violence, looting, and rampaging broke out across the Ferguson area, spilling over into nearby towns.  This time promises to be even worse, if the panic stoked by the mainstream media and government press releases is anything to go by.  The FBI has released its own warnings about the expected situation:

“The announcement of the grand jury’s decision … will likely be exploited by some individuals to justify threats and attacks against law enforcement and critical infrastructure,” the FBI says in an intelligence bulletin issued in recent days. “This also poses a threat to those civilians engaged in lawful or otherwise constitutionally protected activities.”

Those infiltrating and exploiting otherwise legitimate public demonstrations with the intent to incite and engage in violence could be armed…

The FBI bulletin expresses concern only over those who would exploit peaceful protests, not the masses of demonstrators who will want to legitimately, lawfully and collectively express their views on the grand jury’s decision.

The bulletin “stresses the importance of remaining aware of the protections afforded to all U.S. persons exercising their First Amendment rights of freedom of speech and freedom of assembly.” (source)

If the government wanted a reason to crack down, tens of thousands of people rioting through the streets, setting fires, and committing crimes would definitely have people begging for protection.  Whether this unrest is genuine or manufactured, the result is the same – in the next day or so, this part of Missouri will be under seige.

Perhaps, like me, you aren’t confident in the ability or urgency of others to care for your family. It’s time to prepare your defenses.

I wrote about this previously, but here’s a refresher on what you can expect during periods of civil unrest and rioting, and how you can best prepare to protect your family.

Make sure to have enough supplies

The most preventable issue in the event of civil unrest is running out of supplies.

If you have to “run out to the store” that makes it far more likely that you will become the victim of a crime. The best advice I can give in all of this is to STAY HOME.  But if you have no food and water, it’s difficult to do so.

Here is a general list of supplies to have on hand. Remember that sometimes power supplies are lost during situations like this. Occasionally officials do this to gain more control over the populace and sometimes it happens as a side-effect of the wholesale destruction by the rioters. Keep the potential for a down-grid situation in mind when preparing.

  • Water (1 gallon per person per day)
  • Necessary prescription medications
  • well stocked pantry – you need at least a one-month supply of food for the entire family, including pets
  • An off grid cooking method (We have a Char-Broil Offset Smoker American Gourmet Grill, an outdoor burner, and a woodstove inside)
  • Or food that requires no cooking
  • tactical quality first aid kit
  • Lighting in the event of a power outage
  • Sanitation supplies (in the event that the municipal water system is unusable, this would include cleaning supplies and toilet supplies)
  • A way to stay warm in harsh winter weather
  • Over-the-counter medications and/or herbal remedies to treat illnesses at home
  • A diverse survival guide and first aid manual (hard copies in case the internet and power grid are down)
  • Alternative communications devices (such as a hand-crank radio) so that you can get updates about the outside world
  • Off-grid entertainment:  arts and craft supplies, puzzles, games, books, crossword or word search puzzles, needlework, journals

Secure your home.

The best way to win a fight is to avoid getting into that fight in the first place.

Secure your home and lay low, but be prepared if trouble comes to visit.

Here are some tips to make your home less of a target:

  • Keep all the doors and windows locked.  Secure sliding doors with a metal bar.  Consider installing decorative grid-work over a door with a large window so that it becomes difficult for someone to smash the glass and reach in to unlock the door.
  • Keep the curtains closed. There’s no need for people walking past to be able to see what you have or to do reconnaissance on how many people are present.
  • Don’t answer the door.  Many home invasions start with an innocent-seeming knock at the door to gain access to your house.
  • Keep pets indoors. Sometimes criminals use an animal in distress to get a homeowner to open the door for them. Sometimes people are just mean and hurt animals for “fun”.  Either way, it’s safer for your furry friends to be inside with you.

If, despite your best efforts, your property draws the attention of people with ill intent, you must be ready to defend your family and your home

  • Don’t rely on 911. If the disorder is widespread, don’t depend on a call to 911 to save you – you must be prepared to save yourself.  First responders may be tied up, and in some cases, the cops are not always your friends.  In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, some officers joined in the crime sprees, and others stomped all over the 2nd Amendment and confiscated people’s legal firearms at a time when they needed them the most.
  • Be armed and know how to use your weapon of choice.  When the door of your home is breached, you can be pretty sure the people coming in are not there to make friendly conversation over a nice cup of tea.  Make a plan to greet them with a deterring amount of force. Whatever your choice of weapon, practice, practice, practice. A weapon you don’t know how to use is more dangerous than having no weapon at all. Here’s some advice from someone who knows a lot more about weapons than I do.
  • Have a safe room established for children or other vulnerable family members. If the worst happens and your home is breached, you need to have a room into which family members can escape.  This room needs to have a heavy exterior door instead of a regular hollow core interior door. There should be communications devices in the room so that the person can call for help, as well as a reliable weapon to be used in the event that the safe room is breached. The family members should be instructed not to come out of that room FOR ANY REASON until you give them the all clear or help has arrived. You can learn more about building a safe room HERE.  Focus the tips for creating a safe room in an apartment to put it together more quickly.
  • Plan an escape route.  If the odds are against you, devise a way to get your family to safety.  Your property is not worth your life.

It’s very important to make a defense plan well before you need one.

Expect violence for the sake of violence

Not every criminal frolicking through a WROL zone is there to steal. Some people want to hurt people just for the rush of power it gives them.

There is no pacifist answer to an encounter like this. If someone wants to do harm because they find it enjoyable, or because they are swept up in a mob mentality, you have to meet force with greater force.

In these situations, firearms are the great equalizer.

I can’t repeat this enough: you must practice. Frequently. If you don’t know how to use a firearm, you shouldn’t have it.  When you handle your weapon awkwardly, it’s very obvious to a person who is trying to intimidate you. Likewise, if you are so comfortable with your weapon that it looks like a natural extension of your arm, that is also very clear. It sends a message that you mean business and that you know what you’re doing. No one wants to get shot. Most thugs will search for an easier target.

Of course, it’s better still to avoid these encounters.  When your city is under siege, it’s far safer to stay home.  Don’t go to work or send the kids to school. Wait until normalcy returns to go about your business.  It isn’t worth risking your life.

Expect destruction of property

Of enormous concern in these situations is the destruction of property.

For some, vandalizing and destroying property is the order of the day.  Often, times of civil unrest give people of a certain mentality the excuse they need to seek vengeance against those who have “more” than they do.  Tensions erupt between the “haves” and the “have-nots”.  When this occurs, often destruction of property is the way these people choose to show their “power”.

While this starts out as purely a property crime, the situation can quickly turn violent. If someone is outside bashing the headlights of your vehicle, it isn’t a far stretch to think that they’ll bash on you if you confront them.

How to respond to this is a very individual decision, and depends to a great extent on your personal skill levels and confidence.

If you are a person who is unaccustomed to physical confrontations, you may be better off staying inside and calling your insurance company after the fact. No possession is worth your life or the lives of your family.

Alternatively, in some situations, it won’t stop with the destruction of your property. You may have to defend your home. Fire is of enormous concern in these types of scenarios.  Fire is a cowardly attack that doesn’t require any interaction on the part of the arsonist. It flushes out the family inside, leaving you vulnerable to physical assaults.

Be ready for the potential of fire.

Expect cops and soldiers to be harsh

The reality is this:

While many of the officers involved most likely just want to resolve the situation and go home to their families, the methods being used are not methods most of us wish to encounter.

In a highly charged situation like this, police and military are trained to use the most efficient methods to speedily shut down a conflict. These methods can include tear gas, sound cannons, and outright physical assaults on citizens. It’s important to note that fear can be a powerful motivator when deciding how much force is appropriate when addressing a threat. Cops are just as subject to fear as the rest of us. 20 cops with shields and batons would be quite reasonable to fear an angry mob of hundreds of shouting people.

Your safety when interacting with officials during a martial law situation does not rely on the intentions of police officers and military. It really doesn’t matter if they are trying to crush your rights under a jack-booted heel, or whether they are trying to benevolently keep people safe and re-establish peace and harmony.

Here are some suggestions to help keep you safe when dealing with cops and soldiers.

  • Avoid crowds. If you are in the midst of a crowd, you’ll be considered part of the crowd and treated exactly like everyone else in that group. If they get tear-gassed, so will you. It’s guilt by association. If the crowd is violent, and you are part of the crowd, you will also be considered violent, and you’ll be dealt with accordingly. Legally, you are actually guilty if you are part of a group that is violent. GO HOME.
  • Be polite. If you have to interact with officers, be courteous. You won’t restore the Constitution by arguing with them or threatening them. It’s fine to assert your rights – you don’t have to allow them to search your house without cause, for example, but do so civilly. Belligerence will get you nothing but a beat-down.
  • You don’t get to explain. In a highly charged situation, the cops probably aren’t going to listen to you when you try to explain that you’re just taking that baseball bat in your hand over to your nephew’s house so he can hit some balls in the backyard. No matter how innocent your intentions are, if you’re walking like a duck, you’re going to be treated like a duck. Training will kick in, and perceived threats will be immediately neutralized by whatever means the cops find necessary.
  • Stay home. It really isn’t worth risking your physical safety to go see what’s going on.

Underneath the uniform, cops are human.  I’m not justifying the brutality, the methods they’re using, or the assaults on journalists. Cops are just as likely to be swept up in a herd mentality as thugs are during a high stress situation. By understanding this, you can be better prepared.

Just stay home.

I really can’t repeat that often enough. It’s the number one way to keep yourself safer from every single threat mentioned in this article. If you find yourself in an area under siege, the odds will be further on your side for every interaction in which you avoid taking part.

Every single time you leave the house, you increase your chances of an unpleasant encounter.  Nothing will be accomplished by going out during a chaotic situation.

Missouri Governor Activates National Guard In Anticipation Of Potential ‘Period of Unrest’

Ferguson Police Brutality

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon signed an executive order activating the Missouri National Guard on Monday afternoon.

According to a news release, the role of the National Guard is to “…support law enforcement during any period of unrest that might occur following the grand jury’s decision concerning the investigation into the death of Michael Brown.”

“As part of our ongoing efforts to plan and be prepared for any contingency, it is necessary to have these resources in place in advance of any announcement of the grand jury’s decision,” Nixon said in the release.

Ferguson’s Other Race Problem: Riots Damaged Asian-Owned Stores

Ferguson Looting - YouTube

Asian-American-owned businesses in the St. Louis suburb are a mess after days of looting in the wake of Michael Brown’s killing. And one lawyer says the authorities let it happen.

It happened during the L.A. riots, when anger over the police beating of Rodney King spilled into Koreatown. It happened fictionally in Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing, when an Asian-American business owner was forced to defend his store from rioters.

And it’s happening again in Ferguson: Looted Asian-American businesses have become collateral damage.

Asian-Americans own a number of the stores lining West Florissant Avenue, where more than 20 businesses have suffered damage in the wake of Michael Brown’s killing. At least five of these stores are Asian-American-owned, according to local sources and business records.

Uh Oh: Police Shoot And Kill Another Young Black Male In The St. Louis Area

crime criminal murder reprint blood effect finger - Public Domain

On Tuesday, police in north St. Louis shot and killed a 23-year-old African-American male that was suspected of robbing a convenience store. It is being reported that he was brandishing a knife and kept coming toward the police even after they ordered him to stop and drop the knife multiple times. So it sounds like the police may have been justified in shooting this suspect, but is that really going to matter? Within moments of the shooting, there were reports that crowds were already gathering at the scene. Needless to say, this could inflame the riots that have been going on for more than a week in nearby Ferguson. The protesters over in Ferguson aren’t going to care if the police followed proper protocol or not. All they are going to care about is the fact that the police have shot and killed another young black male.

This shooting happened just a few miles from where Michael Brown as shot and killed. The following is how CNN described this latest shooting…

“The suspect, who right now is described as a 23-year-old African-American, was acting erratically — walking back and forth up and down the street,” St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson told reporters.

“As officers arrived, the suspect turned towards the officers and started to walk towards them clutching his waistband. He then pulled out a knife … and told the officers, ‘Shoot me now. Kill me now,'” the chief said.

Responding officers told the man, repeatedly, to stop and drop his knife, Dotson said. He continued to approach, coming within about four feet of one of the officers, Dotson said, adding that both officers then fired their weapons, striking the suspect.

According to the St. Louis police chief, the suspect was involved in an incident earlier in the day at a convenience store, where he is accused of walking out with two energy drinks and a package of pastries without paying.

If I was a police officer and someone continued to advance toward me with a knife after multiple warnings to stop, I would have done something to protect myself as well.

But at this point, no amount of logic or reason is going to matter to the protesters in Ferguson. In fact, a “crowd of about 150″ rapidly gathered at the scene of this shooting and many in the crowd began to express fury at the police officers for what had just happened…

A crowd of about 150 gathered at the scene of the shooting in the moments after the incident, many of whom expressed anger that cops had not used other means of restraint.

“You don’t need to shoot if you’ve got a Taser and he’s got a knife,” one bystander said.

“You just kill, kill, kill because you got a gun,” another said. “They could’ve tased him. He was by himself.”

“They’re trying to shoot us down,” a third onlooker said.

Many in the crowd began chanting “Hands up, don’t shoot,” and “No justice, no peace,” the chants that have been a hallmark of the protests in Ferguson over the past 10 days.

Of course the big fear is that this incident is going to add fuel to the fire of the protesters over in Ferguson. If you want to get an idea of the kind of rage and anger these protesters are feeling, just check out this YouTube video. But please be aware that it contains some very strong language.

And as I pointed out the other day, all of this anger and frustration did not suddenly come out of a vacuum. The truth is that anger, frustration and desperation have been steadily building in impoverished communities all over the nation for years. The shooting of Michael Brown was just a “trigger event” which caused an eruption of rage in Ferguson.

In the end, it isn’t going to matter to the protesters in Ferguson whether today’s shooting was justified or not. It isn’t even going to really matter whether the shooting of Michael Brown was justified or not. The events of the past 10 days have unleashed a volcano of rage that is not going to be easily extinguished.

So we can probably expect to see even more violence, more rioting and more looting in Ferguson. On some nights, the police in Ferguson have not even tried to stop the looting. It would be very interesting to find out precisely who gave them those instructions.

As the eyes of the nation (and the entire world) are glued on the unrest in Ferguson, there is a significant amount of danger that these riots could start spreading to other cities.

If that happens, it will only be a matter of time before the federal government cracks down hard.

And if the federal government gets involved, that could be really, really bad.

A U.S. Army document that was released just a few months ago outlines how the Army would respond to “full scale riots” inside the United States. As Paul Joseph Watson has detailed, this includes potentially using “lethal force” against “unarmed civilians”…

A document released by the U.S. Army details preparations for “full scale riots” within the United States during which troops may be forced to engage in a “lethal response” to deal with unruly crowds of demonstrators.

The appearance of the document amidst growing unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, with the National Guard now being called in to deal with the disorder, is an ominous coincidence.

The 132-page document, titled U.S. Army Techniques Publication 3-39.33: Civil Disturbances (PDF), was written in April 2014 and recently obtained by Public Intelligence.

The document makes it clear that the techniques detailed therein are to be applied both outside and inside the “continental United States (CONUS)” in the event of “unruly and violent crowds” where it is “necessary to quell riots and restore public order.”

The training manual outlines scenarios under which, “Civil unrest may range from simple, nonviolent protests that address specific issues, to events that turn into full-scale riots.”

The most shocking aspect of the document is the fact that it describes the deployment of a “lethal response” directed against “unarmed civilians,” including “sniper response” and “small arms direct fire.”

Under the heading “sniper response,” the document states, “Ensure that target leaders or troublemakers are targeted,” in addition to a passage which states, “Exploit the psychological effect of an attack.”

You can see the document for yourself right here.

The governor of Missouri has already called in the National Guard.

If that fails, we could potentially see the Obama administration bring in the U.S. military.

Let us hope and pray that does not happen.

Let us hope and pray for peace in Ferguson.

Unfortunately, I am fully convinced that this is just the very start of the chaos that is coming to the streets of America in the years ahead.

CNN Anchor Asks ‘Why Not Use Water Cannons’ On Ferguson Protesters

Water Cannon - Photo by AbdoShamsi

A CNN anchor has been the target of much backlash on social media after this morning suggesting that police could break out water cannons and use them on protesters in troubled Ferguson.

In a conversation with her colleague Tuesday morning, Rosemary Church said “Talk to us about what police are saying to you. Why they are using this strategy? Why the use of tear gas, stun grenades? Why not perhaps use water cannons?”

Viewers immediately took to Twitter to point out the historical context of police hosing down predominantly African Americans protesters

The other side of the story: Support grows for officer who shot Ferguson teen Michael Brown

Darrin Wilson - YouTube

While the nation is watching and hearing the angry protests in support of black shooting victim Michael Brown, a different kind of support is being voiced for the white police officer who fatally shot the unarmed teenager.

In a first account of its kind, a caller to Radio America’s “The Dana Show,” who identified herself only as Josie, told listeners a detailed account of Officer Darren Wilson’s side. A source with detailed knowledge of the investigation told CNN it accurately matched what the officer has told investigators.

“He said all of a sudden, he just started to bum rush him,” she said. “He just started coming at him full speed, and so he just started shooting and he just kept coming.”

“I can even say without speaking to Darren, without even having heard his statements, that at that moment in time, he was scared for his life, I am 100% positive of that,” Wilson’s longtime high school friend Jake Shepard told CNN.

Attorney General Eric Holder released the following statement Monday following his briefing of President Obama on the latest developments in the federal civil rights investigation in Ferguson, Missouri:

“As I informed the President this afternoon, the full resources of the Department of Justice are being committed to our federal civil rights investigation into the death of Michael Brown.

“During the day today, more than 40 FBI agents continued their canvassing of the neighborhood where Michael Brown was shot. As a result of this investigative work, several new interviews have already been conducted.

“Moreover, at my direction, an additional medical examination is being performed on the body of Michael Brown. This autopsy is being performed today by one of the most experienced medical examiners in the United States military. I am confident this additional autopsy will be thorough and aid in our investigation.
